Donna Joan Carlisle, 91, of Perry, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 25, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Rippey Cemetery in Rippey. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Donna was born on April 5, 1934, at the family farm in Rippey, Iowa, to Robert Lacey and Vera Stella (Anschutz) Heater. She attended Rippey Consolidated Schools and graduated from Rippey High School in 1952.
On June 19, 1955, she was united in marriage to Jack Carlisle, and together they were blessed with one daughter, Jacqueline. Donna dedicated more than 45 years to Iowa Electric Light and Power Company, now known as Alliant Energy in Perry, where she served as Office Manager.
A devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry, Donna also enjoyed being part of several card and book clubs throughout the years. She had a passion for playing cards, bowling, golfing, and reading.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jacqueline Dhabolt of Perry; grandchildren, Donnie Dhabolt of Port Aransas, Texas, Rocky Dhabolt (Carolina) of Ankeny, Jeffrey Dhabolt Jr. (Kayla) of Mitchellville, and Nicole Frantz (Scott) of Des Moines; 19 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Dr. Richard Heater (Marian) of Sacramento, California; sister, Lee Ann Davis (Brian) of Jefferson; sister-in-law, Marilyn Heater of Ogden; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vera Heater; her husband, Jack Carlisle; her brother, Bobby Heater; and her brother-in-law, Carl Killman.
