Donna Sue Clay

Donna Sue Clay, 81, widow of Dewey Clay, passed away January 24, 2026 in Lexington, KY. Born May 18th, 1944 in Peewee Valley, KY, she was the daughter of Ira Scott Gibbons and Venora Elliott. She worked as medical transcriber at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY and was a member of Southern Heights Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Scott (Toni) Walter and her daughter, Cristi (Kevin) Hawkins; four grandchildren, Hannah (Mark) Highbaugh, Tyler Walter, Courtney Predmore and Haley (Ben) Goode and three great-grandchildren, Adeline Highbaugh, Elliott Highbaugh and Henry Predmore with a fourth great-grandchild on the way. Funeral services will be 1PM Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Road. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY. Visitation will be 11:00am till the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
