- Donna Kessimakis Corak passed away on December 31, 2022. She was born on June 24, 1941 to Mike and Lucille Craig Kessimakis in Murray, Utah. A graduate of Murray High and Stevens-Henager College, she worked as a corporate and legal secretary throughout her career and was known for her excellence and professionalism. She was raised and resided in Murray, Utah and also lived in Miami FL for several years. She married Peter Corak, later divorcing. Her incredible work ethic and fierce independence were complemented by her intellect, dry wit and she was an accomplished artist, avid reader, traveler and lifelong pet owner.

As a girl, she was a devoted daughter and sister, who grew up with a menagerie of pets and often rode her horse up into the mountains and was very close with her maternal grandparents. As a mother, she doted on her kids and provided a foundation of ethics, respect and love, which she also instilled in her grandkids. She continually lifted her children, putting them first in every aspect. Her diverse love of music ranged from classical and opera, oldies, folk to current hits. She often attended local symphony, opera and concerts. She loved cooking and enjoying food from many cuisines, Avgolemono Soup and Greek rice pudding being among her favorites.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, brother, Dale Kessimakis, nephew, Michael Kessimakis and grandson, Amadou Doumbia. She leaves behind her devastated children Shauna (Fodé) Doumbia and Vincent Corak; brother and sister in law, Gary and Linda Kessimakis; grandchildren Ndeye Maguette, Ousmane and Christopher; and a nephew, nieces and friends. Rest well, mom. We'll eat some rice pudding for you.

Please join our family for a celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 11 at 6-8 pm at Jenkins-Soffe (4760 South State Street, Murray, UT) and graveside at Murray City Cemetery on Thursday, January 12 at noon.
