Donna Ruth Dailey Ray, age 75, of Temple, passed away on October 19, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Decatur, Georgia on January 24, 1950, the daughter of the late Walter Dailey and Audrey Botsford Dailey. She was a homemaker and also worked as a Para-Pro at Temple Elementary School.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Paula Jones; and a brother-in-law, Jimmy DeFreese.
Her husband of 57 years, Paul Edward Ray, passed away on October 22, 2025.
She is survived by her children, Laura Messimer (Danny) of Shady Valley, Tennessee, Maria Oblouk (Jonas) of Blue Ridge, Georgia, and Travis Ray (Jeanned'erie) of Ormond Beach, Florida; a sister, Vicki DeFreese of Temple; nine grandchildren, Nathanael Turk, Hannah Flockhart, Gabriel Ray, Sage Oblouk, Jonathan Wuske, James Oblouk, Lilian Oblouk, Rebecca Ray, Lucas Ray; and one great-grandchild, Nataleah Turk.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 2:30 pm until 3:00 pm at Liberty Christian Church.
Graveside services will be held for Donna Ray and Paul Ray on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 3:00 pm with Tony Sullivan officiating. Nathanael Turk, Sage Oblouk, Jonathan Wuske, Gabriel Ray, James Oblouk, Austin Flockhart, Lucas Ray, Donald DeFreese, and Danny Messimer will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will follow in Liberty Christian Church Cemetery.
