Paul Edward Ray, age 78, of Temple, passed away on October 22, 2025, at a local healthcare facility. He was born in Statesboro, Georgia, on June 11, 1947, the son of the late James Edward Ray, and Janie Lee Tucker Ray. He was a business executive with the 3-M Corporation for 25 years and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, William C. Godwin "Q-Ball".
His wife of 57 years, Donna Dailey Ray, passed away on October 19, 2025.
Survivors include his children, Laura Messimer (Danny) of Shady Valley, Tennessee, Maria Oblouk (Jonas) of Blue Ridge, Georgia, Travis Ray (Jeanned'erie) of Ormond Beach, Florida; a sister, Shelia Joan Ray Godwin; grandchildren, Nathanael Turk, Hannah Flockhart, Gabriel Ray, Sage Oblouk, Jonathan Wuske, James Oblouk, Rebecca Ray, Lilian Oblouk, Lucas Ray; and great-grandchild, Nataleah Turk.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 2:30 pm until 3:00 pm at Liberty Christian Church.
Graveside services will be held for Donna Ray and Paul Ray on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 3:00 pm with Tony Sullivan officiating. Nathanael Turk, Sage Oblouk, Jonathan Wuske, Gabriel Ray, James Oblouk, Austin Flockhart, Lucas Ray, Donald DeFreese, and Danny Messiner will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will follow in Liberty Christian Church Cemetery.
