FAIRLAWN - Donna R. Daubenmire, 87, formerly of Canfield, passed away peacefully, Monday morning, December 16, 2024, at Akron City Hospital.
Donna was born November 25, 1937, in Charley Creek, Ohio, a daughter of the late Lee Elkins and Nellie Kennedy Elkins. She was a proud graduate of Columbus East High School. In 1966, Donna moved to the Youngstown area, where she resided for most of her life, before relocating to Akron six months ago.
Donna worked in the banking industry for 20 years and later dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found joy in life's simple pleasures.
She was a member of Jubilee Christian Fellowship and enjoyed knitting, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family, who were her greatest source of pride and happiness.
Donna is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ronald L. Daubenmire, whom she married on September 26, 1963; her two sons, Kevin (Elaine) Daubenmire of Akron and Justin Daubenmire of Youngstown; her seven beloved grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Haley, Eliece, Nicholas, Matthew, Cason, and Olivia; her sister, Wanda Hill of Boardman; and several extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her grandson, Baby Nathan, and her siblings, Denver Elkins, Harold Elkins, Doris Phillips, Bobby Elkins, and Joan Boley.
Donna's legacy of love, faith, and dedication to her family will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends may gather to pay respects from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.
Private interment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Austintown.
In lieu of flowers, Donna's family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association via https://www.alz.org/
