Donna Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Nie Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc. - Carpenter Road Chapel on Oct. 10, 2025.
Donna Lee (Miller) Davis, age 89, of Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away peacefully at home on October 8th, 2025. She was surrounded by family in a home full of love.
She was cherished by all who knew her. Her legacy will live on through her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She is survived by her sisters, Janet (Miller) Carson and Diane (Miller) Koski; her brothers, Dale Miller and Elton Miller; her two daughters, Kathy (Miller) (Godin) Rhoades and Betty Miller-Marr. Her love and devotion will forever be cherished by her grandchildren, Thomas Miller (Yadhy Galindo), Jennifer (Godin) (Curtis) Folsom (Josh Folsom), Sandra (Godin) Chitwood (Brandon Chitwood), and Leann Marr (Jacob Bannow). Her memory will live on with her great grandchildren, Shalyn Curtis (Hawk Silvers), Kobe Curtis, Devin Curtis, Billie Jo Curtis, Dustin Miller, Thomas Miller II, Jeremiah Chitwood, Olivia Chitwood, Stella Bannow, and Freya Bannow. Her presence was a blessing to her great-great grandchildren, Kyleighah Silvers, Anusyrriah Silvers, and Kylvante Silvers.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine (Hadley) Dellabaugh; her stepfather, Allond Dellabaugh; her father, Aurther Miller; her stepmother, Bernadine Miller; her brothers, Glen Miller, Melvin Dellabaugh, Marvin Dellabaugh, and Alvin Dellabaugh; her sister, Carolyn (Dellabaugh) Boadway. She was also tragically preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jacqueline Miller; her grandson, Bobby Jo Marr; and her great-grandson, Tristen Chitwood.
Donna was determined to be in charge of her own life. At the young age of 16 she started her own in-home laundry business. She successfully continued that business for over 70 years until a stroke left her no choice but to retire. Aside from her family, her laundry business was her life. She would turn on her country music and dance around her ironing board while working on her customers' laundry. She had a playful spirit. She loved to play bingo, cards, or board games. She loved having a good time especially when that time was spent with her family. Her family meant everything to her. Near or far, she would travel whatever distance necessary to spend time with those she loved. Even in her final days, all she wanted was to be with her family.
Donna was truly one of a kind. She had a heart of gold and was never afraid to stand up for what she believed was right. She had a beautiful soul. She was so loved and she will be missed dearly.
