Donna Louise Farber, née Pearson, a cherished matriarch and beacon of selfless love, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, surrounded by the warmth of her family following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma and renal disease. Born on Christmas Eve in 1944, in the bustling city of Chicago, Donna's life was a testament to her enduring spirit and loving heart.
Donna's journey began as a graduate of the Chicago Public School System, where she laid the foundation for a life of diligence and hard work. For over three decades, she dedicated herself to various roles at 3M manufacturing in Bedford Park, Illinois. Her unwavering commitment to her work was matched only by her passion for serving others, as evidenced by her remarkable contribution of over 600 volunteer hours at Palos Hospital.
A devout Christian, Donna lived by the teachings of her faith, embodying the virtues of kindness, charity, and love. She was a well-known figure in her community, not only for her professional achievements but also for her involvement with the Burr Ridge embroidery and quilting club. Her hands, always busy, created countless pieces of art that warmed the homes and hearts of those around her.
Donna's interests were a reflection of her joyous and spirited personality. She found great pleasure in the art of sewing, quilting, and embroidery, often gifting friends, and family with the beautiful results of her hobbies. Her love for old movies was well known, with Charlie Chan and Bowery Boys among her favorites, and Clint Walker held a special place in her heart as her favored actor.
Family was the cornerstone of Donna's life. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank M. Adams and Ronald Farber, and a loving sister to Bernadine Cagala and John Mason, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. She was preceded in passing by her dear brothers Dennis Pearson, Arthur (Art) David Mason, and Daryl James (DJ) Mason. Donna's legacy lives on through her adoring sons, Frank Adams III, Steven Adams, Christopher Adams, and Robert Adams, and their spouses Kristy, Ginn, Marlene, and Carolyn, respectively. Her grandchildren Lydia, Inari, Zeus, Michael, Jacob, Sean, Daniel, Wesley, Janine, Brooke, Robert Jr., Nicholas, and Jonathan will forever cherish her memory and the lessons of love and kindness she instilled in them.
Donna's life was a narrative of unwavering love, boundless generosity, and a spirited soul that brightened every room. Those who knew her were blessed by her presence, and she will be dearly missed. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we take solace in the knowledge that her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. Donna's journey on earth may have ended, but her influence will resonate for generations to come.
We give thanks for the gift of Donna Louise Farber's life-a true testament to the power of love and the strength of the human spirit. Her story does not end here, for she will be lovingly remembered and eternally cherished in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
