It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Lee Fatora of
Scottsdale, AZ, on Friday, October 31, 2025 at the age of 79. Beloved wife to her late husband, Stephen R. "Bob" Fatora, and proud mother of her son, Steven J. Fatora. Donna was a beautiful and caring wife to her late husband, Bob, a wonderful and loving mother to her son, Steven, and a stylish and caring mother-in-law to Nadine. She had a deep and committed love of family, country, and God. She proudly stood behind her faith and convictions, and she promoted those noble values with family, friends, and coworkers.
Donna was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on March 9, 1946, to the late Clovis E. (Joe) Falk and Virginia M. (nee Beason). She grew up in Derry, PA, and graduated from Derry High School. Her first job was with Westinghouse, then was a stay-at-home mother, and later worked in both banking and retail. Her favorite job, however, was being a mom.
While with her best friend, she met her future husband while attending a high school baseball game where he was played for Derry High School. Donna married her high school sweetheart, Bob, in 1969. Although they spent many great years traveling and moving for work, Donna always ensured the family would have a have a beautiful and loving home. She loved decorating, and always had an impeccably clean and beautifully decorated house.
Donna and her son were best friends. Although they enjoyed the family vacations, the standout was their "mother & son" trip to northern Italy in 2017. The two treasured each others company while touring the Cathedrals in Florence and Milan, climbing the Leaning Tower of Pisa, wine tasting in Tuscany, traveling the coast at Cinque Terra, and eating gelato. It was the most fun vacation of their entire lives for both of them.
She loved nature and shared her appreciation by frequently taking her young son to the Pittsburgh Zoo to teach him to admire and respect the beauty of all of God's creatures. Donna loved her many pets over the years, and specifically her miniature dachshund Nikki that accompanied her after the passing of her husband.
Donna was the consummate "people person." Feedback from her friends and coworkers was that she always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face, and these were contagious to those around her. A coworker said "Donna is one of these people who just becomes a part of everyone's heart." She loved her family, and coworkers said that she was always talking about her siblings and son.
Donna is succeeded by her son, Steven, of Northville, MI. She is survived by her twin sister, Carol, of Hampstead, NC. A beautiful service was held at Messinger Pinnacle Peak in
Scottsdale, AZ, on Wednesday, November 5. The service was presided by Father Jess Ty of Our Lady of Joy Roman Catholic Church in Carefree, AZ, and attended by many friends and coworkers. Her faith will live on through friends and family.
We are eternally grateful for every moment that we shared together. So with love and heavy hearts, we ask that God's peace comfort her soul. Rest In Peace with your husband in the Kingdom of Heaven. John 11:25-26.
