Donna Hoback Obituary
April 6, 1946 - November 16, 2023
Donna Marie (Wiles) Hoback, age 77, of Union, died November 16, 2023, at Hillcrest Country Estates, in Papillion. Donna was born April 6, 1946, in Plattsmouth, the daughter of Wayne DeLouis and Viva May (Rueter) Wiles. Donna grew up in the Weeping Water area and graduated from Weeping Water High School in 1964. Donna married Dennis Dean Hoback, October 3, 1964, in Weeping Water. She was a bookkeeper and worked many years for Haveman Grain, in Union, and the Cass County Rural Water District, in Murray. She liked traveling, Husker football, Lancer hockey, all different types of auto racing, and trying her luck at the local casinos. At home she enjoyed spending time going for gator rides, reading, working on puzzles and puzzle books. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the many birds that came into her yard. Donna loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays and taking long car rides together where there were many unexpected adventures. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years; her parents; brother, Wayne Dale Wiles; and nephews, Mark and Mike Wiles. Survivors include her daughters, Debbie and husband John Marousek, of Papillion; Deanna and husband Phil Brink, of Union; grandson, Brian Marousek; brother, Fred Wiles and wife Judy, of Weeping Water; nephews; nieces; and many other relatives and friends. There will be NO VIEWING or VISITATION.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the Weeping Water United Methodist Church. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE luncheon will be held at the church following the service. GRAVESIDE SERVICES for the INURNMENT OF ASHES will be 2 p.m., at East Union Cemetery near Union, following the luncheon. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
