Donna Fay Hyder
June 28, 1963 – July 12, 2025
Donna Fay Hyder, lovingly known as "Sis" to her family and friends, passed away at age 62. She was found at her home on July 12, 2025. Born on June 28, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio, Donna brought warmth, laughter, and love into the lives of everyone who knew her.
She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Megan Nicole Hyder, whom she loved with all her heart. Donna also cherished her grandchildren, Chloe and Grayson Richards, with whom she loved to spend time and create lasting memories. She was the beloved daughter of Mae Hyder and the late Jack Hyder (1937–2009), and a cherished sister to Debbie Fogle, Darlene Henson, and her twin brother, Donald Hyder. She also held deep bonds with her brothers-in-law, Billy Henson and Jerry Kirkland, and was surrounded by countless close friends who truly felt like family.
Donna was a hard worker through and through. She worked as a custodian at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology for two years and also cleaned homes throughout the community. She was dependable, selfless, and always ready to help.
A tomboy at heart, "Sis" loved being outdoors. Her favorite place was the fishing hole, where she could relax and enjoy nature. She was always up for an adventure and a good laugh. With a big heart and a giving spirit, Donna never turned away someone in need. She made people feel seen, supported, and loved.
She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and joy. Her memory will live on in her daughter, grandchildren, mother, siblings, and all the lives she touched.
