Donna Grace Kocot ObituaryDonna G. Kocot, 75, of Torrington, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2024. She was born on May 18, 1949 in Stamford, CT to the late Donato (Tony) and Rachel Pellegrino.
Donna graduated from Stamford Catholic High School in 1967 and went to work at American Cyanamid where she spent many years until leaving to raise her children full time. Afterwards, she decided to try her hand as a business owner and partnered with her brother to start Mail Plus, a mailing house company. After selling the business, she became a caregiver for her father until his passing in 2008.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Thadeus Kocot Jr; her children, Christopher Kocot (Diane), John Kocot (Rosetta), Stefanie Kocot-Bjorne (Wayne), her brother Anthony Pellegrino along with several cousins, nieces and a nephew. Donna could not wait to be a grandmother, she was blessed with five grandchildren, John Jr., Gianna, Nicholas, Brennan and Isabella.
Besides her parents, Donna is predeceased by her brother, Sgt. John P. Pellegrino.
Family and Friends may call at the Thurston Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield, CT on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 5:00-7:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm. A Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Cemetery in Darien, CT on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Donna's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
