Donna S. Lawson

Donna S. Lawson, 74, of South Point, OH, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, at SOMC Hospice, Portsmouth, OH. She was born on October 21, 1951, in Ironton, OH, the daughter of the late Robert & Opal McCarty Huff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Clarence; three sisters, Anita, Bertha, and Betty. Donna is survived by her loving Husband of 55 years, Cornelius "Perry" Lawson Jr.; two daughters, Angela (Jason) Hanson, Candy (Danny Keating) Lawson; two sisters, Bernice Matney, Verna Lou Morman; one brother, Freddie (Diane) Huff; six grandchildren, Alisha Hanson, Priscilla Hanson, Jonathon Hanson, Eiran Keating, Joseph Keating and Charlotte Keating; four great grandchildren, Kaylin Borton, Jeremiah Borton, Dominic Borton and Piper Hatten; special nieces, nephews, loving cousins and friends. Special thanks to the members of the Burlington Wesleyan Independent Church, along with nurses and staff of the SOMC Cancer Center and the SOMC Hospice. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11:00 am at Wallace Family Funeral Home in South Point, OH, with Pastors Scott Mann and Robert Dillon officiating. A reception will be held at Burlington Wesleyan Independent Church Fellowship Hall following the service.
Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, OH. Family and friends are welcome to visit prior to the service from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, a time for shared memories and support.
