Donna Jean Lipper of West Hempstead passed away on December 27th 2022.
Donna is survived by her husband George, their son Andrew, her sister Patricia and nephews Jeffrey and Nicholas. She was preceded in death by parents Audrey and Robert Scheller and nephew Chris Jones.
Donna was born on July 13, 1948 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She graduated from Green Bay East High School. Then went on to earn a bachelors from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and a masters from New York University.
Donna married George in 1973. They welcomed Andrew in 1986. An avid reader, Donna loved her family and friends. Through an exceptional career with City University, first at Borough Manhattan Community College, Queens College, and CUNY Central, she was a colleague to many and accumulated numerous friends with her many years of working for CUNY. She is still describe by those who knew her as an ever positive, giving and welcoming person. After her loving family, relatives and friends, her passion was genealogy research; diligently on the search for distant relatives. Quietly she loved horses, wanted to ride, draw, talk to and be around.
A memorial service for Donna is scheduled for January 3rd from 2-4 pm at Park Funeral Home in New Hyde Park.
