Donna Mae Brown McEntire
September 02, 1943 – October 22, 2025
The world was brighter because of Donna Mae Brown McEntire. Known for her genuine heart, kindness, and deep love for family, Donna, 82, of Plain City, Utah, passed away on October 22, 2025. She was born on September 2, 1943, in Grey Eagle, Minnesota, to Otto F. Hoffman and Esther M. Sadlovski Hoffman. Donna grew up on her family's farm, where she learned the value of hard work, developed a love for the outdoors, and discovered the beauty found in life's simplest moments. She was the youngest of four children and cherished by her siblings Esther, Ernestine (Norma), and Oscar (Sonny).
Donna married Robert John Brown on September 22, 1964, and together they had two sons, Steve and Troy Brown. Later in life, she married Bruce Hal McEntire on October 25, 1996, and they shared many happy years together until his passing. Bruce had four daughters: Lisa, Gina, Angie, and Shelly. Donna and Hal enjoyed each other's company, spending time outdoors, going on drives, gardening side by side, and being with those they loved most.
Donna was known for her cheerful spirit and her ability to make everyone around her laugh. She had an extraordinary ability to make others feel welcome, valued, and loved. A talented cook and baker, Donna was especially known for her delicious pies, cinnamon rolls, and crepes, which became family favorites. She had a deep love for animals and a lifelong passion for flowers and gardening. Over the years, she grew an amazing vegetable garden and kept her flowers blooming beautifully through every season.
More than anything, Donna's greatest joy in life was her family. Her sons were the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether it was sharing a family dinner, celebrating the holidays, or simply having a conversation, she made each of them feel deeply loved and cherished.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Hal McEntire; her parents, Otto and Esther Hoffman; her siblings, Esther (Frank) Super, Ernestine (Donald) Hanzlik, and Oscar (Paulenia) Hoffman; and her granddaughter, Brandi M. Brown. She is survived by her sons, Steve (Nicole) Brown and Troy (Diana) Brown; her grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Shaeley, Dillon, Amber, and Kaden; and her great-grandchildren, Camri, Capri, Titan, Tinsley, and Payzlee, who all adored her dearly.
In keeping with Donna's wishes, there will be no formal services. Her family will honor her memory in their hearts and through the traditions and love she passed down to each of them.
Donna's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. She was our whole world and taught us the true meaning of love, family, and joy. Her memory will remain forever in our hearts.
