Donna McHone

UNION, WV – Donna Louise Pence McHone, age 66, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, WV. Born June 30, 1958, in Union, WV, she was the daughter of the late Laird and Geraldine Weikle Pence. Donna was a member of the Mt. Alexander Church in Sarton, WV. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and sitting on her porch.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Pence; and brother-in-law, Richard McHone. Survivors include her loving husband of 48½ years, William McHone; two daughters, Stephanie McHone of Union, WV, and Melissa Shaver and husband James of Rainelle, WV; one son, Michael McHone and wife Tiffany of Alderson, WV; grandchildren, Isabella McHone, Mazie Shaver, Cierra Phipps, and Tucker Phipps; great granddaughter, Emerald Phipps; sisters, Ethel Johnston and Lisa Furrow and husband James, all of Sarton, WV; sisters-in-law, Tammy Pence of Sarton, WV, Cheryl McHone, and Pam Johnson and husband Stevie Johnson, all of Crab Orchard, WV; her best friend, Vonnie Blake; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the Mt. Alexander Church in Sarton, WV, with Pastor Terry Utterback officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Alexander Church Cemetery with Darrin Pence, Jamey Pence, Brandon Bowles, Steven Weikle, Ben Weikle, and Tucker Phipps serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until time of services on Monday at the church.
