Donna Sue Nave
February 4, 1952 – April 18, 2024
Donna Sue Nave, 72, of Rossville, Georgia, went home to be with The Lord on Thursday, April 18, 2024. She was born in the Hixson, Tennessee area, to the late Virginia Weathers and has lived in the Rossville area for all her life. She was a member of Garrett's Chapel Baptist Church in Chickamauga, Georgia. Donna dearly loved her family and especially her husband of fifty-seven years, Lamar. Donna enjoyed playing piano and guitar. She and Lamar served the Lord together for many years when Lamar was the church choir director and Donna would play for them. Donna was organized, creative, and multi-talented. Not only was she a talented musician but she also enjoyed writing poetry. Donna loved her church and serving the Lord with her talents. Donna always enjoyed time with her family. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always enjoyed spending time with them.
Donna is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Weathers; grandmother, Ruby Wilson; sister Rhonda Womble; and brother, Jr. Weathers.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Lamar Nave; daughters, Tammy (Tim) Moore of Red Bank, Tennessee, Trina Taylor of Ringgold, Georgia; siblings, Dale Wilson of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, Terry Weathers, and Joy Dykes, both of Lafayette, Georgia; mother-in-law, Virginia Gipson; grandchildren, Kacey, Brandi, Timmy, Shawn, Megan, Brandon and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 2 pm – 8 pm; Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 2 pm – 8 pm; and Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 11:00 am until the time of service. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in the funeral home chapel.
