Donna Marie Rastelli (nee Saylor), of Fairmount, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025. Preceded in death by loving companion, Robert Hurd. Devoted mother of James and Anthony (Kristy) Rastelli, Robert Jr. and John (Julia) Hurd. Dear grandmother of Anthony Jr. (Ruby), Lacie, Brianna and Jacob. Adored sister of Kathleen Bannon and Puddy Miller (Michael). Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. Also preceded in death by her parents, George and Catherine Saylor and brothers William, George and John.
Donna's greatest joy in life was her family, and she poured love and devotion into every relationship she held dear. She was fiercely proud of her sons, cherishing the accomplishments and paths they carved for themselves. Donna took immense pride in watching
them grow into the remarkable men they became, always there to support, encourage, and celebrate their successes. Her love extended deeply to her sisters and the extended family she adored, who brought her immeasurable joy and a sense of connection that defined
her life. But perhaps Donna's most remarkable display of love came when her son was tragically paralyzed at the age of 20. Without hesitation, she devoted herself entirely to learning how to care for him, becoming his primary caretaker. Donna met each challenge
with grace and determination, always ensuring that her son felt loved, supported, and empowered. Her unwavering commitment, patience, and nurturing spirit were a testament to her boundless love as a mother. Whether it was a family gathering or a quiet moment
shared with her loved ones, Donna's heart was full of pride and affection for her family, and she will be remembered for her extraordinary dedication to those she loved.
Donna's spirit was as vibrant as the city she called home, and she carried an unwavering love for her Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies. A lifelong fan, she reveled in the highs and lows of each season, her heart always with the team, win or lose. Donna's passion for Philadelphia sports was only rivaled by her love for music, particularly the iconic Bruce Springsteen. She cherished every concert she attended, the magic of his live performances never failing to stir her soul. Donna also had a special
place in her heart for cats, finding comfort and joy in their company. Whether it was cuddling up with a furry companion or enjoying a Springsteen song, Donna found simple, yet profound, pleasures that filled her life with warmth and happiness.
Donna's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her kindness, laughter, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of sharing in her life. While her presence can never
be replaced, the memories she leaves behind will continue to inspire and comfort those who remain. Donna's love, devotion, and spirit will live on in the hearts of her sons, her family, and the many lives she touched. May she rest in peace, knowing she was
loved beyond measure and will never be forgotten.
