Donna Lois Stachowski, 98, was born on January 8, 1926, in Chicago, IL to Elbridge and Mattie (Tendall) Bean and passed away on November 15, 2024. She was the last remaining sibling of nine, to an amazing American family. Her father was noted in history as the first white child born in Alaska's interior in 1875. Donna was the beloved wife of the late Julian H. Stachowski, loving mother of Robert (Debra) Stachowski and Mark (Patricia) Stachowski. Cherished grandmother of Ryan Stachowski, Tricia (Adam Brosten) Stachowski, Daniel Stachowski and Pamela (Michael Kadlec) Stachowski. Great-grandmother of Oshean Biederman and Saije Stachowski. Dear sister of the late Jeanette Richter, Elbridge Bean, Eddie Bean, Genevieve Marks, Vernon Bean, Tendall Bean, Donald Bean and Kenneth Bean. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Donna had a lifelong love of animals, especially her many family dogs. Donna had resided for many years in Park Ridge, IL and was active in many community activities. She was an avid reader and enjoyed many years of boating on the chain-of-lakes with family and friends. In later years her and her husband enjoyed the RV travel life, visiting many state and Canadian destinations.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 9:30am - 11am, followed by a memorial service at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL. In lieu of flowers a donation to your local animal shelter would be appreciated.
