Donna Jean Tirey, 65, passed away peacefully at her home in Huntsville, Texas, on April 29, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Huntington's Disease. Though her time here felt far too short, her life was rich with love, strength, and unshakable spirit.Born on April 23, 1960, Donna brought joy, laughter, and compassion to all who knew her. Her love for her family was limitless, and she spent her life fiercely devoted to them. She is survived by her beloved mother, Gail Mitchell; her cherished children Tanya Kennedy, Waylon Tirey (wife Delila), and Matthew Tirey (wife Ariel); and her treasured grandchildren: Jessikah, Jeffrey, Jade, Kryslin, Dayton, Dominic, and Skyler ("Punkin"). She was a proud great-grandmother to Triton, Aria, Savanna, Tegan, Hannah, Leila, Kane, Kensleigh, and Karson.Donna's sister Angi Bremkamp, who was also her devoted caregiver, provided tender and selfless care in Donna's final years. Our family is forever grateful for her love and unwavering dedication. Donna is also lovingly remembered by her sisters Linda, Patty, and Michelle, along with many extended family members and dear friends. She was welcomed into eternity by her beloved granny, her father Thomas Patton, sister Teresa Patton, brother David Patton, nephew TJ, and son-in-law Jeffrey Gortemiller. In one of her final acts of generosity, Donna hoped to donate her brain to Huntington's Disease research in hopes of helping others in the future. Although circumstances prevented this final wish from being fulfilled, her legacy of love, strength, and hope lives on.Donna, our beautiful Memaw-thank you for everything. Your laughter, your love, and your fierce resilience will never be forgotten. Rest peacefully. You are free.
