Donna Marie Ward-Trapani born February 19th,1954 has passed away after a long battle with cancer on June 8th, 2025.
She was raised in Lynbrook, Long Island by her parents Marie and James Ward along with her two sisters Stacy and Barbara. She was also incredibly close with her aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially Darlene who was her best friend.
She attended grammar and high school in Long Island and went to college in Vermont.
Donna met her first husband Sebastian Trapani a few years after college. They married and had two boys, Joseph and James. Her sons were the light of her life. Donna shared a love of sports with Sebastian, Joe and James.
She played basketball in college and worked in a law firm after college. Later in life she worked as the office manager of a radiology office.
She and Sebastian divorced, and she met her second husband Bill who had two daughters Kate and Tara who she adored. Her family grew as time passed. She was a beloved Nonna to seven grandchildren: Arlo, Richie, Logan, Willa, Brian, Peyton, and Emilia. She loved watching all of them and attended as many of their games as possible.
She also had two great daughters-in-law, Anna and Evelina and two great sons-in-law, Rich and Mike. Donna would always tell her husband Bill, Anna is perfect for Joe, Evelina is perfect for James, Kate and Rich are great together, and Tara and Mike are great together.
Donna's cooking was world class and loved by everyone.
Donna would wake up every day with a smile and be happy while facing the world head on. Donna was beautiful inside and out. She was a selfless woman who always cared about everyone else.
She will be missed by family and friends. She is now in God's hands finally resting and out of pain.
