Donna Wilson

Donna was born in 1932 in Joliet, Illinois to Milton and Gladys Brawner. Donna grew up in Boonville, Indiana and graduated from Boonville High School in 1950.
Donna attended Ball State Teachers College in Muncie, Indiana and completed her teaching degree at Colorado State Teachers College in Greely, Colorado. She later completed her Master's degree at the University of Evansville.
Donna taught for 25 years in Warrick County teaching at all four elementary schools Clarke, Oakdale, Ella Williams, and Loge. She retired from teaching in 1993 and after retirement stayed active by tutoring, participating on the Library Board and volunteering at the Warrick County Museum.
Donna was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Keith, son Jeff, and sister Patti Widders of San Diego, California.
Donna is survived by her children Mike (Trayce) of Boonville, Indiana, Kathy (Dennis Withey) of Louisville, Kentucky and Steve (Jayne) of Evansville, Indiana as well as daughter-in-law Jane of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is also survived by grandchildren Aaron Wilson, Joshua Wilson, Max (Trista) Wilson, Mitch Wilson, Molly Wilson, and Haley Wilson, 7 Great-grandchildren, sister Roberta (Don) Stacey of Hillsborough, North Carolina, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Karl Sash, the nurses and nurse practitioners at St. Vincent Post Acute Care, the staff of Woodmont Health Campus, and Heart to Heart Hospice for the many years of care and attention.
A visitation for Donna will be held August 17, 2024, starting at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm., followed by a service starting at 12:00 pm held at Bradley's Colonial Chapel Boonville, Indiana. Service will be officiated by Bro. Jon Inman. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Boonville, Indiana. Memorial donations can be made to the Boonville-Warrick County Library, and also the American Heart Association.
