Donnie Sharp Obituary

Donnie Sharp, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away April 25, 2024, in Nashville, TN. He was born on September 16, 1945, in Russellville, KY. Donnie was known for his humorous personality - initially shy but quick to warm up and bring smiles to those around him. He was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back and always be there when you needed him.

One of Donnie's greatest joys in life was spending time with his family. He cherished the moments he could gather everyone together for a day of grilling out and laughter. Among his proudest accomplishments were his grandchildren, whom he adoringly referred to as "Pawpaw".

Donnie had a passion for fishing and was a dedicated sports enthusiast. He especially loved cheering on the Nashville Predators and supporting Vanderbilt football. His love for sports was only second to his love for his family.

Donnie is survived by his children Tabatha Elmore, Donna Birdwell, and Amanda Escue; grandchildren Trinity, Tessa, Steven, Kelsey, Chandler; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings Geraldine Clouse and Shirley Pitts. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Martha Sharp, grandchild Taylor Elmore, and brother Aaron Sharp.

Donnie will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family will forever be remembered in the hearts of those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
