Patricia Ann (Freeman) Sharp, known by many as “Tricia”, age 76, of Gainesville, TX, passed away February 6, 2026, in Gainesville.
Patricia was born August 1, 1949 in Gainesville. She married Pat Sharp on September 4, 1970 in Gainesville. Patricia graduated from Gainesville High School in 1967 and earned her R.N. degree from Grayson County College in 1970. She worked in several area hospitals and doctor’s offices, including over 20 years with Dr. Shauf in Gainesville. Her most successful job was her role as a caring wife, mother, and Nana.
Predeceased by: parents S.M. and Patsy (Brizendine) Freeman; brother Jerry Don Freeman; brother Paul Freeman and wife Lou Ann; brother-in-law Jerrell Sharp and wife Wanda; and brother-in-law Jay Sharp.
Survived by: husband Pat Sharp; son John Sharp; son David Sharp and wife Gina; grandchildren Ryan Sharp and Emily Sharp; sisters-in-law Patsy Sharp and Vikki Estes; nieces Melanie Friesenhahn and Melissa Freeman; and numerous other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, in the funeral home chapel. A committal service will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville.
