Donnie L. Thomas - age 73, of Knoxville, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Donnie served in the U.S. Airforce during Desert Storm from April 5, 1985 to February 21, 1993. He retired from long years of service with the City of Knoxville. He enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren, golfing and being in nature.
Donnie was preceded in death by his wife Linda; parents, Carl and Elizabeth Thomas; brothers, John Thomas, Mack Thomas, Charlie (Ruth) Thomas, Lonnie Thomas, Bobby Thomas, Jim (Linda) Thomas, Ray (Diane) Thomas; and sister, Mary Lou Thomas.
He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Thomas; brothers, Gary (Tracy) Thomas, Paul Thomas; sister, Debbie; grandchildren, Katelyn (Rick) Samson; great-grandchildren, Zackery Samson, Haydenn Samson, Paisley Samson; and extended family member, John Shipe.
The family will receive friends 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Bridges Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 AM Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Tarklin Valley Baptist Church Cemetery for a 10:00 AM graveside service.

Sorry to hear of Donnie passing I played golf with him at Lambert Acres on the senior league for 5 years he was just a delight to be around I couldn't wait to see him every Tuesday morning it was the highlight of my week I will miss him very much thanks for the memories -Bruce Stewart
