Dora Schell Obituary
Our dear sweet mother, Dora Louise Schell passed away at the amazing age of 92 on May 29th 2024 at San Marino assisted living center in Westminster, Colorado. She was born on February 10th 1932 in Frederick, Colorado. Her parents were V C Paul and Ester Stiles of Frederick. Mom grew up in Frederick and graduated from Frederick High School in 1950. She then went on to UNC in Greeley to receive her teaching degree. On June 10th 1951 she married Francis (Gene) Schell and they lived in Frederick for many years. After they were married, Dora began her teaching career in Frederick. Then taught at Mead Elementary and Burlington Elementary in Longmont as a 3rd grade teacher for 35 years. Mom and dad moved to Longmont in 1967 and later moved to Westminster.
As we celebrated her wonderful and amazing life with joy, our hearts are heavy at her passing. She will be truly missed as a devoted, loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, teacher, educator, giver, organist, dancer, bridge champion, and yes "A+ student " of her faith...the list is soooo long!
Mom left us an amazing legacy of life to carry the torch into the next generations with literally dozens of offspring. She gave a slice of herself to all who knew her. Mom left behind nothing that had not been accounted for. She ran her race strong to the finish line of this life. Her t's were duly crossed and her i's boldly and intentionally dotted with excellent care and detail. Mom's songs are now played to the end with both hands Never The Less ' never missing a beat!
She is now flying high with the angels and finally dancing again with our dad. We will meet her again in another time, in another realm. Until then mom, we love you and thank you for everything ! ♥
She is survived by her children, Paul and Sunny Schell, Andrea and George Becker, Myles and Gail Schell, 11 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 granddaughter, and 1 great granddaughter.
Funeral services will take place at The Church at Hidden Lake in Westminster Colorado on Saturday June 8th at 10:00 am. There will be a luncheon after the service at the church 4411 West 64th Ave. Arvada Colorado 80003.
