Dora Dean West-Strunk, age 73 years, of Marshes Siding, Kentucky died Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
She was born in Marshes Siding, Kentucky on April 2, 1951 the daughter of the late Luster and Ruth (Sellers) West. Dora had been a machine operator at LeSportSac and cook at the Whitley City Motel, she was a Christian and loved listening to gospel music, cooking, and riding the back roads.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Bud West; sisters, Wilma “Sis” Clark (Ken) and Brenda West; and nephew, Ken Dale Clark (Buffy).
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Strunk; son, Clifton Lynch (Donna) of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughter, Sherry Coffey (Greg) of Whitley City, Kentucky; brother, Ken West of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; sister, Lena Spradlin-Barnett (Harold) of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jordan Lynch, Brooklyn Lynch (Dalton), and Katie Coffey; great grandchildren, Jacey and Luke; nieces and nephew, Kathy Troxell (Jerry), Carla Tucker (Kevin), David Spradlin (Shelia), Tammy Spradlin (Allen), Connie Redmond (Brian), and Hope Plumber (Jamie); step daughter, Evonne Watters (Steve); and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1pm Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Spradlin and Bro. Buck Cook officiating. Burial to follow in the West Ridge Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Monday, January 27, 2025 at the Funeral Home.
