Doreen Veronica Foreman, 67, of Three Oaks passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, in the comfort of her family's presence.
Her life began Nov. 10, 1957, in Niles, the second youngest of eight children born to Otis and Lucille Arndt. She married Mark Foreman on Sept. 17, 2006 in Three Oaks at Real Life Community Church.
Doreen dedicated more than 30 years as an administrative secretary at Chikaming Elementary School before enjoying a well-earned and blissful retirement. A devoted member of Real Life Community Church, she lived her faith with grace. She was also a gifted artist, poet and singer as well as an avid gardener who found beauty and peace in nature. Above all, Doreen was known for her kindness and joy, touching countless lives and leaving a legacy of love.
Doreen will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years, Mark Foreman of Three Oaks; one daughter, Lori (Chad) Slavens of Bridgman; one son, Joseph (Jennifer) Prenkert of Kalamazoo, Mich.; two stepsons: Logan (Alesia) Foreman of Kalamazoo, and Jordan (Sara) Foreman of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two step-grandchildren: Emme Slavens of Bridgman and Miles Foreman; six sisters: Linda Arndt of Mt. Clemens, Hazel (Gene) Bolin of Rockford, Marilyn (Tim) McIntyre of Richland, Gayle Davis of Lansing, Beth Arndt of Vicksburg and Elaine (William) Stephens of Canton, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Daniel Arndt and one nephew, Brian Davis.
Family and friends will gather from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, in Wagner Family Funerals Pobocik Chapel, 106 Ash St. E., Three Oaks. A funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 29, at Real Life Community Church, 12 Michigan St., Three Oaks, MI 49128. An hour of visitation prior to the service, starting at 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
