Doreen "Susie" Holtz

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of McMinnville, Oregon passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the age of 80.
Born August 11, 1941 in Los Angeles, California to Elmer and Catherine Ruggles, Susie was the youngest of three daughters. After graduating from Fremont High School in Los Angeles, she married her high school sweetheart, Eugene Holtz. Susie and Gene had three children: Linda, Michael, and Dan. Doreen worked and retired from Smith Kline Beacham in California.
Susie enjoyed gardening, genealogy, and her extensive antique doll collection. She loved big band and Dixieland music and was often seen happily dancing with a Tootsie Pop in her hand.
Susie is preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister Donna.
Susie is survived by her husband Eugene, sister Deanna and her husband Bob, daughter Linda and her husband Ray, son Michael and his wife Suzie, and son Dan and his wife Sarah. Susie is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Macy & Son Funeral Home in McMinnville, Oregon.
