Doris Aho Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Allen Funeral Home - Davison from Dec. 17 to Dec. 23, 2025.
AHO, Doris Louise (Daly) – of Davison, age 92, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025 at Henry Ford Genesys. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date and will be announced in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Whaley Children's Center, in Doris' memory.
Doris was born in Davison, MI on August 12, 1933, daughter of the late Harold and Zelia (Prieur) Daly. She graduated from Davison High School in 1951, where she excelled in basketball. She married Russell Aho in 1955 and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2018. They eventually moved to Fenton, Michigan where they raised four children. After Russell retired, they spent nearly thirty years in Michigan's upper peninsula in Trout Creek.
Doris always made sure her family was well-cared for, preparing home cooked meals, packing lunches, picking up the kids from after school activities, never missing a game. She devoted her life to her family. She was honest and not afraid to speak her mind, qualities that helped define her as a person and as a great mother and wife. When she took time for herself, she enjoyed bowling and golf. She will be missed.
Doris is survived by her loving children, Sandy (Tom) Zalack, Steve Aho, and Jeff (Traci) Aho; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Beatrice Ayotte; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Andy (Pam) Aho; sister, Eleanor Schafer; and brother, Don Daly.
