Mrs. Doris was a devoted homemaker who poured her heart into creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. She was not only a loving mother but also a nurturing grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman "Ray" Boatwright.
She is survived by her children, Timothy Boatwright, Anthony Boatwright, Rebecca Cronan, and Christopher and Karen Boatwright; her brother, Jimmy Bullard; her sisters, Clara Johnson and Barbara Goss; her grandchildren, Samantha Barker, Austin Cronan, Kyle Boatwright, Ashley Boatwright, Jessica Alexander, and Steven Boatwright; as well as four great-grandchildren, Mason, Riley, Aleigha, and Collin.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home.
Her body will be laid to rest in a private committal service at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton is handling the arrangements.
