DORIS ANNE DAUGHENBAUGH, 93, beloved widow of Richard S. Daughenbaugh, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the comfort of her home.

A native of Canton, Ohio, Doris was a daughter of the late Ivor and Violet Briscoe Peters, Sr. Doris graduated from Mckinley High School. She made her home in Aiken since 1972 and was a devoted member of Christ Way Christian Church. Doris married Richard (Dick) Daughenbaugh on September 16,1951 and was married for 63 years before his passing in 2015. She was a dedicated caregiver for Dick after he had a debilitating stroke. They travelled extensively in an RV which she learned to drive and made several cross-country trips and visited every state park in South Carolina. Doris loved baking and made the most delicious cakes, pies, and Christmas cut-out cookies. She especially liked making her wonderful buttermilk pancakes for family and friends alike. Doris never met a stranger; she loved people and the Lord. She was the glue that kept the family together especially during the holidays.

Doris is survived by her four beloved children: Cyndy Malavite (Mike) of East Sparta, OH; Ric Daughenbaugh (Marsha) of Aiken; Faye Weigle (Jack) of Irmo, SC; and Jean Meshey (Allen) of Aiken. She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her seven grandchildren: Andrea Clements (Nate), Brynley Farr (Chris), Margaret Crabtree (Ryan), Reese Weigle (Hannah), Mac Weigle, Michael Meshey (Lacey), and Emily Kaufmann (Alex)and granddaughter in law, Stacy Malavite, along with seventeen great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild on the way.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband and parents, as well as three grandchildren: Matt Malavite, Merideth Meshey, and Nathaniel Meshey.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, 2:00 PM at Christ Way Christian Church.
