Doris Jean Davenport, 75, of Milano, TX, passed away surrounded by her loving family, Friday, May 2nd, 2025. Services will be, 1pm, Wednesday, May 7th, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, Rockdale, with Pastor Donald Valenta Officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Doris was born in Beaumont TX, to Eugene and Doris Mudd Haney. She spent her early years being a loving stay at home mom, and wife. After raising her children, she started her career as a clerk for law-enforcement. Working for Hardin County Sheriff's office, Texas DPS in Orange and Beaumont Texas and Municipal Court Clerk for Lumberton, TX.
She loved traveling in her RV, Motorcycles, Gardening, but most of all a grandmother. She was a dedicated member of Milano First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Caran Renee Coward and grandson Nathaniel Jacob Coward.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Davenport; daughter, Stacie Sheffield and husband, Matt; step-son, Kenneth Davenport Jr., grandchildren, Megan Donahoe and husband, Jonathan, Kristen Armstrong and husband, Tanner, Phillip Coward, Colby Adams and fiancée, Ruby, Chris Adams and fiancée, Payton, Madison Sheffield, Emily Sheffield and Karsen Sheffield; 16 great-grandchildren and brother, Sam Haney and wife, Rhonda Haney.. Pallbearers will be, Colby Adams, Chris Adams, Phillip Coward, Tanner Armstrong, Shane Haney and DJ MaGee.
