Doris E. Dzimek

Doris E Dzimek, Age 82, of St. Charles, IL passed away on October 14, 2025. She was born July 23, 1943 in Berlin Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Piasecki.
Doris came to the United States with her mother in June 1952 on board the RMS Nieuw Amsterdam ship.
She attended Evanston Lincoln Grade School in 1952-1953 as a 5th grader. She graduated from Evanston Intermediate School in June of 1957. Doris met Fred in 1957 and they were married in October of 1960.
Their daughter, Becky, was born in April of 1963, followed by their son, Rob, in November of 1964.
Doris and Fred purchased their first home in Lombard, Illinois in 1968. While raising their family, their Lombard neighbors have become life-long friends. They resided in Lombard until 2013 when they purchased their second home in Sugar Grove.
Doris was a homemaker and also became an Avon representative, selling Avon through the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. She began working for Waddell and Reed as an administrative assistant from 1984-1986. In 1985, she earned her real estate license and opened her own real estate office in Lombard. Several years later, she moved her real estate license to Prudential Spengel in Wheaton until she retired in 2012.
In 1998, Doris became a grandmother when her first grandson was born. A few years later in 2001, she became a grandmother for the second time.
In 2010, Doris and Fred purchased a place in Naples, Florida, where they spent their winters for 11 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Fred; her two children; Becky Burnett and Rob Dzimek; her son-in-law, Bob; her daughter-in-law, Lisa, and her two grandsons; Josh Burnett and Mason Dzimek.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third Street, St. Charles, IL 60174. A service will begin at 3:30 pm.
