I haven't known Doris prior to being in Assisted Living, and having her eating at our table. I loved her from first conversation with her. She was so kind, not at all selfish, and , even though there were many things that were really difficult for her, she never asked for any help, and often tried to refuse it. She loved her family dearly, and I believe that was mutual, because they came at least once a week to see her and gifted her with many things to help her adjust to a different surrounding, and a different life. Never heard her complain one time about anything. We played 500 with her, and she was an
excellent player, even though she had to use a board to hold her cards, due
to older. less useable fingers. She played a great game, only a few days before she was moved to the care center. We were so happy to celebrate her 100th birthday, and she had a far clearer mind than most elderly people. Yes, everyone I knew and know loved her so much, and she will be greatly missed! Verna Mull
