Doris Fontaine Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rochette Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Dec. 10, 2025.
Doris Lucille (Tessier) Fontaine, 78, of Nashua, passed away at her home on December 6, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Ronald J. Fontaine Sr., with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.

Doris was born in Nashua on June 11, 1947 to the late Albert and Jeannette (Marquis) Tessier. A lifelong resident of southern New Hampshire, she attended Alvirne High School and later studied coding, an interest she carried proudly throughout her life. Doris went on to build a long and dedicated career as a housekeeper at St. Joseph's Hospital, where she was known for her strong work ethic, warm presence, and kindness toward staff and patients alike. She later retired after many years of service.

Outside of work, Doris found joy in adventure and the simple pleasures of life. She especially loved going on motorcycle rides with her husband, exploring the winding roads of northern New Hampshire and traveling together to Tennessee, Canada, and Florida. Whether close to home or far from it, Doris cherished the chance to see new places and create lasting memories. She also enjoyed traveling more broadly to various destinations whenever the opportunity arose.

Doris is survived by her husband, Ronald; her son, Shawn Fontaine and his wife Pamela; and her siblings, Muriel Lagasse, Paul Tessier and his wife Rita, Donald Tessier, and Denis Tessier and his wife Margie. She will also be remembered by her in-laws, Joanne and Bruce Kirkpatrick, Jacqueline Fontaine, Suzanne and Chris Burton, and Betty Ann Fontaine; her grandchildren, Daniel Fontaine, Kimberly Fontaine, Scarlette Boisseau and her husband Matthew, and Danika Fontaine; and her great-grandchild, Ellyott Titus. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Doris was predeceased by her son, Ronald Fontaine Jr. and his wife Robin, and her brothers-in-law, Armand Lagasse, and Arthur Fontaine and his wife Diana.

Relatives and friends are invited to Doris's visitation on SATURDAY, December 20th from 10 AM until 11 AM at CHRISTIAN BIBLE CHURCH, 205 Manchester St., Nashua. Her Funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Her interment will take place on MONDAY, December 29th at 1 PM at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, 32 Pinehill Ave., Nashua.
