Doris Grimsley Kelly Obituary
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Haskel and Susan "Trudy" Trucilla Grimsley; her sons, Michael "Mike" Pittman, and Paul Barry Pittman; 3 grandchildren, Joseph "Joey" Pittman, Jason Pittman, and Brittany Marie Pittman; and siblings, Lucille Grimsley Norris, Elmer Grimsley, Mary Sue Grimsley Miller, Shirley Hugh Grimsley, Francis Grimsley, and Carmen Grimsley.
Doris is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alton R. Kelly, Sr.; children, Stephen "Steve" Pittman, George Pittman (LuLu), Cynthia "Cindy" Pittman Boothe, Carla Joanna "JoJo" Pittman Cuevas, James Pittman, Tammy Pittman, and Alton Ray Kelly, Jr.; sibling, Daniel "Dan" Grimsley; grandchildren, Doug Pittman, Tony Pittman, Christina Pittman Hannagan, Ricky Pittman, Katrina Pittman-Batchelor, Trudy Pittman-Stephens, Jennifer Pittman-Hunt, Chad Pittman, Lyle Pittman, Dalton Pittman, Tiffany Pittman, Philip Boothe II, Dominick Boothe, Cassey Cuevas, Jimmy Cuevas, Phillip Richardson, and Justin Legg; and 42 great grandchildren.
Doris was a native of Hattiesburg, MS and a current resident of Gulfport, MS. She was the manager of the Sugar Mill Restaurant & Lounge, Mardi Gras Lounge, Pro Shop, and Sapphire Lounge. Doris enjoyed going to church, music, cooking, catering, making floral arrangements, spending time with family & friends, and spending time with church functions.
Ms. Kelly will be missed by many. We love you June Bug. We will see you again one day.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 1 - 2 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
