Doris Elvena Hahn

Doris Elvena (Emerick) Hahn was born in Tulsa, OK on April 5, 1929, to parents, Marie Idelle (Davis) and Willie Jasper Emerick. The family moved to the country east of Tulsa in November 1936 where Doris attended school at Garnett and East Central. The family moved to Oologah in 1946 where Doris graduated as Valedictorian of the Oologah High School Class of 1947.
After attending Bartlesville Business College, she worked for Cities Service Oil Company in the Treasurer's Division, first in the Tax Department and then in the Budget Department as Secretary to the Assistant Treasurer. In June 1964, she transferred to the Geological Department and then to the Purchasing Department in 1969 in Tulsa, OK. She worked there until her retirement in June,1983 after Cities Service Oil Co. was purchased by Occidental Petroleum.
On April 30, 1964, Doris Emerick and Ray Lavon Hahn were married in the First Christian Church in Bartlesville, OK. They made their home north of Dewey until moving to the Oglesby, OK community in 1968. They lived in Oglesby until 1986 when they moved to Bartlesville because of her husband's health. They later moved to the rural Dewey area in 2013.
Doris enjoyed gardening while living in the country and her hobbies were oil painting, quilting and ceramics. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ray Hahn, nieces Linda R. Moser and husband Joseph Brookings of South Dakota and Laurie R. Bushlack of Shakopee, MN. Two great nephews, Sean Aaron Emerick and Brevin Richard Bushlack, and one great niece, Brie Bushlack.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie Idelle and Willie Jasper Emerick, sister Billie Marie Emerick, brother Royce J. Emerick and nephew Richard William Emerick.
Doris's family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m., at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel, 918-333-7665, 4201 Nowata Rd, Bartlesville. Visitation will also be held on Thursday from 10-1 p.m.
Services will be held on Thursday, at 2 p.m., at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel, with Pastor Eric Koenig officiating. Entombment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel.
