Doris Elizabeth Jordan, age 83, of Indianapolis, passed away June 19, 2023. She was born May 5, 1940, in North Collins, New York, to John Becker and Gladys Graue, both of whom preceded her in death. Doris loved to go dancing in her younger years, and found peace in going camping and fishing, where she could enjoy the lake, watching the birds, and hear the relaxing sound of wind chimes.
She is survived by her children: Michael (Sherry) Vanover, Jr., Alexander (Theresa) Jordan, Jr., Lisa Jordan, and Loretta (Harold) Nolan; grandchildren: Elizabeth (Jeremy) Farrar, Kevin (Kylie) Nolan, Jennifer Nolan, Makayla (Jordan) Morning, Jacque Jordan, Andrew Jordan, Alex Jordan, Martie (David) Ferguson, Earl (Josenilda) Graves, Jr., Katlynn Vanover, Dakota Hodge, and Dreama Hodge; great-grandchildren: Kayla Cissell, Steven Cissell, Jr., Karter Nolan, Kenlie Nolan, Sierra Contee, Ceirra Taylor, Dewayne Shipley, Makendzie Shipley-Herrin, Brian Blythe, Nathan Blythe, Isaiah Blythe, Jeremiah Ferguson, Jonathan Ferguson, and Hayden Farrar; as well as two great-great-granchildren: Kayden Reel, and Haisley Grace Shipley.
Doris is also preceded in death by her son: Martin Jordan; and twelve siblings.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
