Doris B. Kennedy departed this life on Monday January 5, 2026. The wife of the late James "Tank" Kennedy. Daughter of the late Manuel and Eliza J. Bailey. Mother of James Lee, JR, Dionne Lee and Sibyl (Frank) Anderson. Three stepchildren by marriage Toilyn (Len) Major, Melody Kennedy and Kaysi, Taylor. The devoted grandmother of 11 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. The sister of Audrey B. Clements and the late Audrey B. Ceasar, Gloria B. Smiles, Melver B. Sino, Manuel L, and Joseph Bailey. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, Employees of Domino's Sugar Refinery, Saint Bernard Parish School Board, also neighboring churches of Saint Bernard and Orleans Parishes are all invited to attend the Funeral Service at Church of Christ, 3644 Johnny Jackson Jr. Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70126 on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 10:00am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Brother Preston Olive officiating. Interment St. Bernard Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements by D. W.
