Doris Ailene Kent, born on April 17, 1936, in Blountstown, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, in the same town she cherished throughout her life. She was a beloved homemaker who dedicated herself to her family and community, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Ailene was a member of Page Pond Assembly of God, where she found joy and solace. Her deep-rooted involvement in her church reflected her strong faith and commitment to helping others, and she will be remembered for her compassion and kindness.
Throughout her life, Ailene was surrounded by love and support from her family. She is survived by her son, Randal Wayne Kent and his wife Carol; her brother, Gene Guilford, and his wife, Vivian; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Ivey Kent and Monica Wells. Their lives were enriched by her unwavering love and guidance.
She was predeceased by her husband, Cortez Kent, whose memory she carried with her; her parents, Alvin and Minnie Guilford; her brothers, Rufus and Cecil Guilford; and her sister, Lois Adams. Each of these loved ones played a significant role in her life, and she holds them dear in her heart.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will take place on August 29, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM.
