Doris J. Loftus (age 92) of Rosemount, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 23, 2025. She was born on October 19, 1932, in New Auburn, WI.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Gordon Loftus; parents Reuben and Gertrude Halvorson; and sister Dolly Shelland.
Doris is survived by her sister Donna Berg of Arden Hills; brother Ronnie Halvorson of Colfax, WI; children Maurya (Rick) McSheehy, Monica (Dan) Soderholm, Michael (Amy) Loftus, Marcia (Dave) Vogt, Michelle (Scott) Meyer, Mari Jo (Mark) Taylor, Maureen (Rick) Schroeder; grandchildren Ryan (Christine) McSheehy, Kristin McSheehy, Ryan Soderholm, Kristin (Anthony) DeMarco, Megan (Landon Sr) Stanfield, Leah Loftus, Emmett Loftus, Jacob (Jessica) Vogt, Patrick (Jamie) Vogt, Jenna (Peter IV) Fooshe, Andrew Meyer, Anthony Meyer, Brian Meyer, Peyton Schroeder, Lauren Schroeder; great-grandchildren Tyler McSheehy, Hailey and Colton Soderholm, Mia and Emma DeMarco, Landon Stanfield Jr, Mallory Vogt, Levi, Allen and Kennie Vogt, Natalie, Noelle and Peter V Fooshe; and her beloved furry companion Shamrock (“Shami”).
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church Rosemount, MN at 1pm with Mass of Christian Burial at 2pm, followed by a social gathering at the American Legion in Rosemount, MN at 3pm. Interment on Saturday May 10, at 12pm at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Kilkenny, MN.
