Doris took great pride in her appearance and carried herself with elegance and style. Known for her sharp intellect, she was practical and resourceful, always finding a way to get things done. Above all, she was a devoted matriarch. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she was a trusted confidante and a source of wisdom and strength for her family.
Doris is survived by her children, Danny Plant and his wife, Mary, and Sharon Plant. She was one of ten siblings and is survived by her sister, Diane Shelly, and her brother, Bill Gilbreath. She also leaves behind six grandchildren: Danny, Rick, Cindy, Jason, Steve, and Dillon; and seven great-grandchildren: Emma, AJ, Nevaeh, Stevie, Dallas, and Carlee & Mason Gentzler.
Her life was one of courage, care, and devotion, and her memory will live on in all the lives she touched.
