Veronica Graciela "Vero" Cruz, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 55. Born on June 12, 1970, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Veronica lived a life marked by unwavering faith, boundless love for her family, and a heart that embraced everyone she met.
Veronica was the cherished daughter of Jose Antonio Torres Alaniz and the late Graciela De La Rosa Treviño. She grew up surrounded by a close-knit family that included her siblings: Yesenia Yazmin Torres de la Rosa, Irma Margarita Torres de la Rosa, Claudia Concepcion Torres de la Rosa, and Carlos Javier Torres de la Rosa. She was also preceded in death by her beloved sister Olga Lidia Torres de la Rosa.
A devoted mother to her son Jose Antonio Cruz and an adoring grandmother to Matteo Antonio Cruz, Veronica found immense joy in her family. Her love for Matteo knew no bounds; she delighted in spoiling him and fiercely protected their special bond. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family; she welcomed everyone with open arms and treated all as if they were part of her own.
Veronica was known for her wisdom and compassion. She had an uncanny ability to offer just the right words when someone needed comfort or guidance. Her strength and resilience were evident to all who knew her; she was a warrior in every sense of the word. Deeply rooted in her faith, she was a devoted member of Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida and carried an unshakable belief in God throughout her life.
Her vibrant personality shone through in everything she did from sharing heartfelt advice to expressing stern honesty when it was needed most. Veronica's big heart left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She also had a playful side that came alive through her love of K-pop music, a passion that brought joy and energy into her daily life.
Veronica's legacy is one of love, faith, and strength. Her memory will live on through those who were fortunate enough to know her and be touched by her kindness.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
