Doris Mae (Henderson) Sisco was born on March 5, 1938 to Marion Earl Henderson and Nota Ruth (Mizer) Henderson in Purdy, MO. She departed this life on November 2, 2025, into the loving arms of her Savior with her daughter by her side. Doris was a member of the graduating class of 1956. She was a long time member of Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church in Purdy, MO.
She had many jobs throughout her life but the one she treasured most was being a housewife, Mother and a Nan. She looked forward to her monthly dinner and Domino's with friends, shopping till she dropped, and her flowers.
She was united in marriage to Rodney Fay Sisco on May 21, 1959. To this union they welcomed two children.
Those left to mourn her are her daughter, LaDonna Dailey and Tad of Purdy, MO; her son, Brian Sisco and Lisa of Jenkins, MO; grandchildren, Austin Drake, Trenton Dailey (Natasha), Derek Dailey (Haylee), Hillary Reader and Dave, Ethan Sisco (Paige), Mikala Sisco (Michael) and Hannah Sisco; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Drake, Lane Dailey, Evan Reader, Emma Reader, Finley Sisco, Thayer Friely and Thaelynn Friely; and her brother, David Ray Henderson and Donna of Springfield, MO.
Those who were there to meet her were her husband, Rodney Sisco; her parents, Earl and Ruth Henderson; and her brother, Richard Henderson. Also preceding her in death are a host of family and friends.
Even though we will miss her terribly, dementia is no longer a part of her.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Arnhart Cemetery, East Purdy. Reverend Lee Neill and Reverend Jesse Cole will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been suggested to the Arnhart Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
