GREENFIELD, INDIANA – Doris Jean (Moschenrose) Walburn, age 79, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022. She was born in Gorham, Illinois on January 17, 1943 to Evelyn (Newfarmer) Gabbard and Joe Moschenrose. Doris was a 1961 Marshall High School graduate in Marshall, Illinois. On September 12, 1987, she married Robert Walburn in Knightstown, Indiana.
She was quite the quilting and crocheting woman, making many lap blankets for veteran organizations, cancer patients and newborn infants. She often spent time quilting with dear friends at the Patricia Elmore Senior Center. Doris also enjoyed traveling, camping and exploring National Parks. She cherished time spent with her family and loved her kids and grandkids very much.
Doris is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Robert; children, Johnny (wife, Shelley) Crouch of Casey, IL, Lisa (husband, Joe) Erdman of Euharlee, GA, and Wendy (husband, Lee) Ginn of Mobile, AL; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Phillip (wife, Jane) Moschenrose and Michael (wife, Kim) Moschenrose; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Casey Cumberland Cemetery, N 10th St, Casey, IL 62420. Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to Patricia Elmore Senior Center, 280 Apple St, Greenfield, IN 46140. Friends may share a memory or condolence at www.erleweinmortuary.com.
