Doris Ann Wolfe

Doris Ann Wolfe, 81, passed away peacefully January 29, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Doris was born in Norfolk, to the late Ruby White Davis and Charles "Jack" Davis. She was an active member of Knotts Island United Methodist Church. Doris enjoyed dancing, playing the penny slots, preparing and enjoying meals with her family, gardening and above all else spending time just being an amazing Nana to anyone who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas James Wolfe; son, Michael J. Poff; and sister, Grace E. Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Debra Ann Tando of Knotts Island, Sheila Marie Huber (Thomas) of Knotts Island; Jack Lewis Poff (Marie) of Knotts Island, Richard Kevin Poff (Anna) of Suffolk; beloved daughter-in-law, Dana Poff of Norfolk; siblings, Charles S Davis Jr., Glenn R. Davis (Tonine), Roger L. Davis, Ralph E. Davis (Donna), Jackie L. Davis (Jack), Brenda K. Twiford, and Linda S. Davis; grandchildren, Darnell, Tonya, Jennifer, Kristen, Richard Jr., Michael Jr., Shannon, and Amanda; twelve great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday at 10:00 am at Knotts Island UMC for a funeral service. Burial will take place at Knotts Island Community Cemetery immediately following.
