Dorothy Gene Brauner, 68, of Fulton was called to her heavenly home on January 3, 2023.
She was born in Fulton on September 12, 1954, the daughter of the late Eugene J. Kinney and the late Carol Lee (Jones) Kinney.
She married Gary E. Brauner, on September 11, 1976. He preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Fulton, Mo. She loved cooking and baking for family and friends and doing crafts. Dorothy hosted foreign exchange students from Westminster College and always welcomed them to holiday and family dinners. She always made their birthdays extra special.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Phillip Brauner; sister, Glenna Perrier of Philadelphia, Pa; brothers, Wesley E. Kinney and Ken Lee Kinney (Angel); sister-in-law, Joan Crump; brother-in-law, Carl Brauner (Patricia); several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Jason Buckwalter and Pastor Gary Garrett officiating. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations are suggested to Church of the Nazarene, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, Mo 65251.
