Dorothy Ann Davis Brent 81, widow of Arvin Brent since 1995, entered into eternal rest in Tennessee at the home of her son Darrell Hall, Sr. She was a native of Nicholasville, KY born July 19, 1941 to the late Raymond Jr. and Dorothy Lee Cartwright Davis. She retired from the US Postal Service. Dorothy loved to travel, especially getting together with her sisters in Gatlinburg or Dollywood. In addition to her son Darrell, wife Neva, she leaves to cherish her memories a daughter Janice Lee Hessler, and son Steven Douglas Brent, sisters Judy Karpuleon, Brenda Jo Hopkins, Charlotte Davis and Linda June Davis. She also is survived by 8 grandchildren: Billy Hessler, Jimmy Hessler, Darrell Hall, Jr., Brenton Hall, Tommy Kistner, Jenny Patton, Steven Michael Brent, and Ian Hunter Brent; great grandchildren: Alexis, Colby, Mason, Owen, Audra, Evan, Derek, Kaylee, Graham, Aaron, and Brandy. She was preceded in death by sisters Diana Lynn Price and Evelyn McCollum. A Funeral Remembrance will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday Feb. 1 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery following the service. Honoring her as pallbearers will be her 5 grandsons and her 2 sons. Dorothy's family will greet friends before the service beginning at 10:00 AM. "Your mother will always live in your heart and memories." Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the trust given to us to care for Dorothy and her family.
