T. DAVID BRENT

BRENT--T. David, Ph.D. University of Chicago, 1977, died August 18, 76 years of age. He leaves behind his widow Jataun Martin and two sons, Robert and Matthew, from his first wife, Margaret O'Dell. The eldest son of Stuart Brent, a noted bookseller in Chicago, and Jeanette Levin Brent, a gifted pianist, who died when David was seven. David was a brilliant Executive Editor of The University of Chicago Press for over 40 years where he published many acclaimed books in anthropology, philosophy, and psychology. The brother of Jonathan, Susan, Amy, Lisa, Joseph, Adam and Joshua. David will be missed and remembered for his energy, brilliance and the wild force of his life. Services were held in Chicago.
